HostSight.pk Review: How They Dropped My Domain & Verbally Abused Me | Aihan Malik

The Dark Side of Local Hosting: My Horrible Experience with HostSight.pk

As a founder, you invest years of sweat, blood, and tears into building a brand. For me, Freelance With Daniyen isn’t just a business; it’s a community of 100,000+ aspiring freelancers. But recently, I learned a hard lesson: Your digital legacy is only as safe as the registrar you trust.

Today, I am exposing the shocking unprofessionalism, technical negligence, and verbal abuse I faced from HostSight.pk.

The Nightmare: A Dropped Domain and Zero Accountability

My official domain, freelancewithdaniyen.com, was hosted with HostSight. Without a single phone call or a recurring high-priority alert, they allowed my domain to drop. For a business owner, a lost .com domain is a catastrophic financial and reputational blow. Thousands of dollars in revenue vanished overnight because my entire ecosystem was tied to that URL.

When I reached out to their support, expecting a professional resolution or at least a sense of empathy, I was met with something far worse than technical incompetence: Pure Arrogance.

"Are You Slow?" – Is this Customer Support or a Street Brawl?

Instead of helping me recover the domain or explaining the technical lapse, HostSight’s support team decided to launch personal attacks. Here are the exact words used by their official support:

"Whoever you are, clearly you are an irresponsible person... Definitely you are slow... Go in hibernation mode."

Let that sink in. A paying customer and a brand founder is being told to "go into hibernation" by a service provider after they failed to protect his primary business asset. This is not just bad service; this is professional misconduct.

Why One "Ticket" is Not Enough

HostSight claims they opened a ticket a year ago. In the world of Domain Registration and Web Hosting, sending one silent ticket and then letting a high-traffic domain expire is a massive failure. Industry leaders like Namecheap or GoDaddy send 10+ alerts, reminders, and even reach out via calls because they understand the stakes. HostSight, however, thinks a single dashboard notification absolves them of all responsibility.

The Impact: Thousands of Dollars Lost

Because of HostSight’s "couldn't care less" attitude:

  • My global students lost access to their portal.

  • International client funnels were broken.

  • The SEO authority built over years was destroyed.

A Warning to the 100K+ Freelance Community

To my fellow freelancers, entrepreneurs, and the Pak-Tech community: Be extremely careful about where you park your domains. If a company cannot speak to its clients with basic decency (Tameez), how can you trust them with your data and business?

I have always advocated for supporting local Pakistani startups, but HostSight.pk has proven that they lack the emotional intelligence and professional ethics to handle serious businesses.

Final Words to HostSight.pk

You might think you won this round by hiding behind a ticket number, but in the digital age, reputation is everything. You didn't just drop a domain; you dropped the trust of a massive community.

I am not in "hibernation." I am awake, and I am making sure no other freelancer falls into this trap.
